For Those Who want To Stay Anonymous

Some photographers say that your facial expression is the most important part of the boudoir photo. And while we agree that your face can make or break the picture, there is so much more at play.

Your body language, lighting, outfits…to name a few.

And in some photos, all those things can take the spotlight.

That’s right, your face doesn’t have to be the centre of the attention all the time. In fact, it doesn’t even have to be in the photo at all. Which some of our clients prefer.

Faceless Boudoir Photos can help you keep the element of secrecy

We often have clients give us permission to share their pictures but because of the nature of their job, prefer to keep their face out of the pictures and often we’ll photograph artistic boudoir images where the body is the focal point of the image, with her face turned away or in shadow or kept hidden in some way.

Not only is this a great way to show pictures online but it’s the perfect way to show as wall art in the living room without any visiting friends knowing who’s really behind the anonymous work of art.

A faceless photo can serve as a clever way to spark some interest in your loved one.

There’s something alluring about keeping your identity hidden, and letting their fantasies go wild.

Boudoir is often better when it’s sensual and suggestive and not too ‘in your face’ While we often photograph fully nude images of our clients since this is an amazing way to feel empowered and boost your confidence enormously, we always recommend some implied nude or lingerie pictures as well. These are the pictures which you’ll want to proudly display on the wall for all to see and so it’s a good idea to include a wide variety of pictures for different purposes.

Remember too, that Boudoir is all about the details. You may love a specific part of your body, like the curve of your hips, or arch of your back or love your shoes or the chain details of your bra or fingernail polish - Whatever it is, an anonymous Boudoir picture can focus more on the details and emphasise this as a way of telling a story and suggesting or implying rather than being obvious or overt. It’s the little details that make you fabulous.

PLANNING THE SESSION

When a client books a day with us we start to work collaboratively in your shoot.

We like to hear what you are envisioning and learn more about who you are so we can plan the session of your dreams. We then set up a Pinterest board with some visual ideas that we can both work on together.

This serves a two-way purpose; we get to know you intimately beforehand to effectively plan a shoot and you get excited about our session together.

It puts you at ease before the shoot as you will have a connection with us and know what to expect.

No matter what type of session you have with us, it is all about comfort, fun and luxury.

TIME FOR THE SESSION

We always advise that you allow at least 4 hours for your experience. It’s certainly not like walking into a High Street Studio, waiting in line for your turn and then a few pics and you’re done. This is not the Madison Bou way.

It takes time for the majority of people to become relaxed in front of strangers and we really want you to enjoy your experience with us. Hair and make up plus the time going through your outfits and having refreshments takes around one and a half hours. We never clock watch though and you’ll never be competing for studio time with any other clients. This is your day entirely. Some of our clients take a little longer to relax than others and we know that. Whatever time you need, we will give you so your shoot is as stress free as possible. We have no restrictions on outfits either so you can wear exactly what makes you feel comfortable.

Make no mistake though, you will be tired at the end of your session. It feels like a mild work out and this is a good thing.

YOUR PERSONAL STYLIST

Whether it’s been years, months or weeks since you’ve shopped for lingerie, we will help show you where to start.

Once you book, we’ll send you our Prep guide full of inspirational ideas for your shoot with plenty of outfit suggestions.

Along with inspirational Pinterest mood boards that we have designed for posing, hair/makeup, lighting, and wardrobe. We collaborate with you to help create a mood board full of ideas for your unique photoshoot and that will become our guide on the day itself. While we don’t try and reproduce the pictures on the mood board we do use them as a starting point to our shoot. The end result will be pictures similar in style to the ones you’ve flagged up that you love but each photoshoot will be unique to you and your specific style.

Posing, Guiding, Directing

Jayne has been dancing professionally for 30 years and her tours have taken her all over the world from Paris (Moulin Rouge) to Vienna, Greece, Korea and Japan amongst others and she also teaches at her own Academy of Dance and all this experience on stage has taught her the art of posing and she is more than capable of getting great poses out of all of our clients. (Most of our clients have no idea what to do in front of the camera since they’ve never been professionally photographed before)

Over 20 years of shooting the art of Boudoir has meant we’ve learned all the right angles to make your photos look the best they can be. We will be directing you the entire time, there’s never a dull moment on a shoot with us!

So, remember, anonymity allows iyou to freelyexpress yourself without the fear of judgment or scrutiny. Boudoir photography is an intimate exploration of self-love and body positivity, and choosing to stay anonymous provides a protective shield against external opinions.

The decision to remain anonymous also preserves a sense of mystery and allure.

The subtle concealment of identity adds an artistic element to the photographs, inviting viewers to appreciate the artistry without being distracted by preconceived notions or biases.

Ultimately, embracing anonymity in Boudoir Photography is a courageous act of self-love.

In the realm of boudoir, anonymity becomes a canvas for self-expression, a sanctuary where the true essence of an individual can flourish without inhibition.
