When I started photographing Boudoir back in 2002 I discovered quite quickly that every woman is unique. Every woman has a personal style and look which makes her extraordinary.
One size does NOT fit all!
They say that familiarity breeds contempt and that is how I would describe they way many women look at themselves in the mirror. Everyday, they look and see the same body and after a while they grow a kind of ‘contempt’ for the way they look.
They see all the ‘flaws’ - Too fat, too thin, pancake breasts, Dolly Parton breasts, they start to hate, rather than love their bodies.

The Art of Boudoir Photography is the art of seeing yourself as others see you. Perhaps for the very first time. It will help you to love your body and accept the skin you’re in.
The Photoshoot above is certainly not typical of every Photoshoot we do. Far from it. We’ve only used clingfilm that that, once.
That said, we try and create something totally unique with every client we photograph.
Maybe not clingfilm, but maybe balloons, bubbles, lights, wear a lampshade as a hat, create a dress from newspaper, yep, we’re prone to do things like this.
It’s your photoshoot, remember, and whatever you fancy trying, we’re up for it.
Most importantly, we’ll direct you every step of the way. We’ll pose you down to your finger tips. We’ll style you and make you look amazing every single time.
After your amazing photoshoot and you get to see all your incredible pictures (Normally about 100 or so ) we will be able to help you choose how to display and store them.

Outfits
We can help you decide what outfits to bring along and what will suit you best.
It’s a great way to show off who you really are with the outfits you bring.
Are you sporty? Do you love delicate, lacy lingerie or prefer leather and latex? Fetish / Bondage / Shades of Grey. Are you a white shirt kinda gal or do you prefer dresses? Jeans and Ts, Stretchy jumpers, PJs, shapewear, stockings, tights, all are good. Mix and match - Doc Martins with Negligees, every necklace you own around your neck at once. Why not wear a lampshade instead of a hat? All crazy ideas we’ve tried and they worked.

We have a large range of outfits and if we can find out a little about your style beforehand we’ll be sure to bring something along to the shoot. We always suggest you bring at least 3 outfits along but many clients can’t decide and bring a full carload of outfits and accessories. We love this since we get a chance to create some real variety. (Also remember, sometimes a simple bedsheet is all that’s needed. Feeling brave? Try some ‘fine art’ nude - Amazing for confidence. )
Location
Location is the ULTIMATE way to customise your photos and overall shoot.
This year we decided to become more mobile after being based in Central Leeds studios and Hazlewood Castle for 5 years. Returning clients were asking for new and unique location experiences and some clients asked if we could come to them (More personal and private)
Now we can create completely bespoke experiences both indoors and outdoors.
We extended our preferred venues to include stunning rooms and Suites in York, Leeds and Bradford with more location options added all the time.

Don’t forget that you’ll want to be able to store all your favourite pictures from your day and show them off in the way that suits you.
Some clients are so in love with their pictures they decide to ‘go large’ with some wall art. Some prefer to keep a beautiful handbound book of their favourites to look at whenever they please.
Some prefer art based Folios and others love digitals as well.
