PICKING THE LOCATION FOR YOUR BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY COUPLE PHOTOSHOOT

This year we’ve stepped away from our normal studio location and we are now offering far more bespoke photoshoots to suit every couples’ needs. We can find a location such as a luxury Hotel Suite (and you can stay in it overnight if you want to make it a special occasion) or we can even come to your own home if you prefer.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and relaxed. This will allow us to capture real images of you as a couple instead of a nervous and awkward version of the two of you.

YOUR HOME

The most obvious place to select as your photoshoot location is your own home.

You will probably feel the most relaxed here, since… well there is no place like home.

You may want to show off a newly decorated room or be fortunate enough to own a swimming pool or Hot Tub. Your gardens might be private and secluded or perhaps you just want something that makes the photoshoot even more about the two of you and a photoshoot in your own home may be just the thing for you.

We’ll provide the hair and make up and make everything look amazing and you’ll have all your outfits and accessories to hand.

RENT A HOTEL SUITE

Most of our Boudoir Photoshoots are in luxury locations such as Hotel Suites or Penthouses. Over the years we’ve built up a wide range of possible options and the great thing about going down this route is that in many cases you will have the option of staying in the suite overnight. Often we’ll try and show you the finished edits at check out the next day. (Normally it takes a week or two to do the edits)

This is an ideal scenario for those clients who are visiting us from far afield. (We’re based in Yorkshire and get many visitors from London and the North West who have to return the next day)

CONSIDER OUTDOORS

How about recreating a classic movie scene on the Beach such as the one “From Here to Eternity” ? (Click HERE )

Maybe something in the woods during Bluebell season or Spring time.

Something in the City for a sophisticated urban feel, maybe wearing a statement dress.

It might be for the more adventurous couples, but it’s definitely a great option to choose. (Remember also, it doesn’t have to be ‘boudoir’. You can wear whatever you want )

DECIDING WHAT TO WEAR FOR A BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY COUPLE SHOOT

What to wear is a biggie.

You should decide how you want the pictures to look. Formal or more informal. More Sexy or less Sexy. Intimate, sensual, romantic ?

Ultimately this will determine the kind of outfits you wear.

LINGERIE

When it comes to shooting something as intimate as a passionate couples boudoir style shoot, the clothing that comes to mind first for many is probably lingerie.

That said, it’s vital that you look comfortable during your photoshoot and we always recommend starting off your photoshoot with both of you fully clothed in outfits you love. This will get you accustomed to the process of being photographed and get rid of your ‘camera face’ (We all have one. That ‘deer in the headlights’ look we seem to put on whenever a camera is pointed at us)
