Sensual Photography • TIPS FOR A PERFECT BOUDOIR SESSION!
Remember - It’s about so much more than just sexy pictures.
“I watched a lot of tiktoks for ideas and inspiration and trawled the internet looking for the perfect company - this is when I found Madison Bou. They were not the cheapest but I loved the feel of their website. I bit the bullet and booked. “…”
Preparing for your Boudoir Session
Getting ready for your session doesn't have to be stressful!
We have been specialising in Boudoir for more than 20 years and in that time we’ve photographed 100s of women and this experience has shown us that there are some sure fire things you can do to prepare for your special day that will ensure everything goes perfectly.
We’ll take care of all the technical stuff on the day such as lighting, posing, the camera settings etc…. You can help with some of the preparation to make sure the day is a real success and that you get what you want out of the experience.
1. Try on your outfits before your session. You should love the way you look in them and not feel self-conscious.
There are many times when clients come in with items that do not fit well and knowing that ahead of time is key to your comfort. Also, you may want to ensure your outfits are ironed before you arrive.
2. Pack a suitcase. If you think you might want to bring it, JUST BRING IT! Some clients bring a couple of suitcases full of goodies and that’s fine by us. It simply gives us more to choose from on the day. We always say, it’s better to bring too much than too little. Better to bring something and not wear it then not to bring it and wish you had. To help you put your suitcase together, you can access our Prep Guide HERE
3. Do you have that signature lip colour? If so, yes absolutely bring it! Even though hair and make up are included in your sessions, your favourite lipstick shade will make you feel your best!
4. Do you have a bold, bright or fun pair of heels? Pack those too! Bring what you think will make you feel and look your best! It’s okay if they aren’t comfortable, you won’t be standing for too long! (That said, don’t overdo it…. No need to bring 20 different pairs.- They can take up a lot of room)
5. Don’t forget your nails! Get those finger and toe nails polished a few days before your session! You don’t want to see chipped nails in your images nor do you want to see untidy toe nails! You will love the way your images look when your nails are perfect.
SO, plan ahead and make sure you play your part in your experience!
