Sensual Black and White Boudoir Photography
Every photographer develops a preferred style over time and many create recognisable styles which clients gravitate to more than others.
Without even knowing it perhaps, you will be drawn to a specific type of picture or style.
When looking through Boudoir Photographer websites you will naturally develop preferences and you may not even know why you prefer one picture to another.
It’s a little like choosing which piece of art you prefer, is it that abstract nude by Picasso or the dark and moody window lit portrait by Rembrandt?
You may not know why but you will probably have a preference.
Boudoir Photography is like that. Some of the women you see are lit to perfection and look like models in a magazines, whereas some boudoir photography is more gritty and ‘real’ with cellulite and love handles on show for all to see.
At Madison Bou we want you to feel like a woman in a magazine and we want you to learn to love your love handles!
That said, we don’t want you to focus on your love handles and cellulite we want you to focus on your beauty so we light you exquisitely to minimise those things that you’d rather not see and make sure the best light is on the feature you do want to see. Your beautiful eyes, for example.
You’ll certainly see our style by looking through the PORTFOLIO section of our website. If we were to summarise our picture style, we’d say like ‘Mamma Mia’ the movie, in that everything looks upbeat and lit with sunshine and faces and skin are largely bright and shadowless. Not every picture is like this, of course, but the ‘Mama Mia’ vibe is generally our signature look. What if you prefer a more Black and White look for your Boudoir Pictures? Some studios shoot manly in black and white that’s their style and it can look fantastic for Boudoir. It’s important to lit the subject properly though, regardless whether it’s black and white or colour. When a scene is lit badly, the shadows disappear into black masses and eyes become ‘dead’. Some photographers cover up their colour issues by simply pressing the ‘black and white’ button and this is not a good look. (In our opinion, of course, but feel free to differ… Art is in the eye of the beholder after all)
So, for those that love the timless classiness of boudoir in Black and White we now have a Black and White Gallery just for you. We would love nothing more than to be commissioned to create a stunning Black and White album just for you, printed on our new Fine Art Matt pages which have a real wow factor.
The absence of colour allows us to simply focus on form, texture, and emotion, creating an intimate visual narrative that is extra-ordinary. This is our version of sensual black and white boudoir photography, where every frame tells a story of elegance, empowerment, and the celebration of individual beauty…
