A photoshoot to celebrate surviving cancer? Absolutely, why not?

Laura’s story is something far too many of our clients can relate to.

“To all my Women Friends. We are all going through it….We are at that age where we see the wrinkles, gray hair, extra pounds….we see the pretty 25 year olds and sigh….But we were once 25 too just like they will one day be our age. What they bring to the table with their youth and zest for life, we come to the table with our wisdom, experience, and good hearts. For all we’ve been through earning each grey hair….raising kids, bills and ills and whatever else life brought us over our 40’s, 50+ years….We are survivors….we are warriors…..we are Women…..Like a classic car….or fine wine….while our exteriors may not be what they once were…it is traded for our spirit….our courage…and our survival to enter this chapter of our lives with grace and pride for all we’ve been through and accomplished.
Never feel bad about aging. It is a privilege denied to many.

it’s important to feel beautiful – even sexy – during and after cancer treatment and we are committed to making women feel comfortable and look gorgeous as we photograph them.

On arrival, you receive a relaxed hair and make-up session with Sarah lasting around an hour.

After that we go through your outfits and direct you through a photoshoot in the elegant rooms and suites of Hazlewood Castle. First class treatment all the way. You’ll feel like a star.

Refreshment are provided throughout and we’re careful to work at your pace so you’re always as comfortable as possible.

Remember, what you wear is completely up to you. We can advise you but we’re aware that everyone has their own comfort level. Some want to wear dresses for an evening going out look, some want to dress casually in jeans and t-shirts and others want to push themselves to ‘boudoir’ style. You can even mix and match and since we don’t clock watch we can spend the time to create exactly what you want.

A photoshoot like this is tremendously empowering at what can be a very challenging time in life. It’s also a perfect way to create something that will last for many decades such as one of our hand made, European books or framed wall art. Something that will be passed on the the next generation.

So when people come to us assuming women come for a Boudoir Experience to "just look sexy", We politely tell them.... that's not what boudoir is about.

Of course, looking amazing is a by-product of this experience, but every woman should experience this photoshoot at least once and enjoy their own natural feminity because life will put us through some of our toughest journeys... some that may even, quite literally, have us fighting for our lives…
