I had just had my youngest daughter, she’s now 7. To this day I still don’t know what on earth possessed me to book a Boudoir shoot only 7 weeks after giving birth when I felt the worst I’d felt in a long time.

I suffered with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (like Kate Middleton) and had actually lost 9.5kg during my pregnancy but still had the dreaded wobbly bits.

I needn’t have been worried. After having my hair and makeup done I felt like a woman again, like me again.

After the first few shots were taken, I quickly forgot about being nervous and surprisingly started to enjoy myself!

Halfway through my shoot, my daughter needed her nappy changing which was also taken care of and with the help of a paper windmill, she was soon fast asleep again.

Going to see my pictures was nerve-wracking and I was apologising in advance to my now-husband because I was sure I’d look awful.

How wrong was I?!

The styling, lighting and professional talent came together and I looked at myself for the first time in years and actually liked what I saw.

Nothing beats the feeling of looking at yourself at thinking “wow, I’m hot!!” and every woman deserves this.

Having the pictures to look back on is something I will always be glad I have – pushing myself out of my comfort zone led to one of the most liberating things I’ve done. … Anna
