10 Great Outfit Ideas You Aready Have In your Wardrobe Which Will Look Great On your Boudoir Shoot

Do you know what the most common question we get asked is ?

“I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO WEAR! …. I don’t do lingerie”

Well, that’s ok, because a Madison Bou Boudoir Photoshoot isn’t about Lingerie, it’s about YOU!

Does the idea of lingerie shopping terrify you but you’re dying to do a Yorkshire Boudoir Photoshoot? Don’t stress any longer! There are plenty of items just hanging in your wardrobe that you can use in your super sexy photoshoot.

Here’s a list of our top non-lingerie wardrobe ideas:

  1. T-Shirt / Crop Top

A t-shirt or tank that you don’t wear anymore can be a simple way to create super sexy images! Bring it into the studio, we’ll cut it up and spray your down with some water if you’re up for it (keep in mind that your hair and makeup will not be the same after!)

2. Robe / Dressing Gown

Bring along your sexy silk or sheer robe to your boudoir shoot to incorporate into a few images. This can be a great option to go over your lingerie while you’re warming up and getting comfortable or strip down completely for some anonymous shots!

Kimonos are always a wonderful and colourful option for your Boudoir Experience.

3. Sweater

A chunky, cozy, off the shoulder sweater, has long been a popular choice for our boudoir clients. It’s a modestly sexy look when paired with a cute pair of cotton undies or even some short cheeky shorts.

4. Leather Jacket

A Leather jacket is a great wardrobe item to bring to your boudoir studio if you want an edgy, ‘badass’ look. You can pair it with a bra underneath or nothing at all depending on your comfort level. Add a pair of studded leather ankle boots or a pair of your aviator glasses and you’ve got yourself a biker chick look! Better yet, mix it up with stillettos and a hat!

5. Jeans

Want to get girl next door sexy? Bring along your favorite pair of jeans (you know… the ones that make your booty look just right!) and pair them with an equally comfy/sexy bra or bralette. Looking for some extra booty cleavage? Try a pair of cutoff shorts instead!

6. Fur

Anything with Fur looks sexy and feminine. The less you wear underneath the better but this is up to you.

7. DMs

If you’re not into heels, then wear flats. Whatever suits your personal style. Converse, Nike, DMs, barefoot… all good.

8. Dress

9. Dungarees

A variation on the Denim look and if you’re brave enough to wear them with nothing underneath then the wow factor goes up a notch. Painter’s overalls, full of paint spots can also look great. Continue the theme with some face pots on the face. You see, anything goes!

10. Bedsheets/Net Curtains

Cover as much or as little as you want - The perfect boudoir outfit

Every woman deserves to have a beautiful image of themselves on display in their home, but not everyone is comfortable with an image of themselves in lingerie hanging over the mantel! We encourage all our clients to bring in a sexy little black dress or fancy cocktail dress to their shoot so we can capture a handful of beautiful portraits that they are proud to show off to their family members. (Bonus…. It will also allow you to start relaxing in front of the camera since you won’t feel too exposed )
