A Vintage Day In Saltaire
A Vintage Day in Saltaire
Here are some of the pictures from our corporate vintage day in Saltaire photoshoot .
When I moved from London to Yorkshire, nearly 20 years ago, I instantly fell in love with Saltaire. I loved its history and the independent shops and of course Salts Mill with its fabulous Hockney collection. Sir Titus ‘Salt’ and the river ‘Aire’ come together here to great effect.
Saltaire is a national treasure and for a number of years, the mill was one of my favourite meeting places.
I’ve photographed weddings at Saltaire and they’re always special and a little quirky.
Saltaire United Reformed Church is truly one of the nation’s most precious Victorian architectural gems. The church, built by Sir Titus Salt in 1859 is a wonderful example of Italianate religious architecture. Walk inside and view one of the most spectacular ceilings in Yorkshire.
I’ve visited many vintage fairs here over the years. Vintage and Saltaire were made for each other (Like Haworth in that respect)
Victoria Hall is the perfect location for a photoshoot like this. A corporate shoot to create some images for their magazine…
If you’ve never spent the day in Saltaire, you’re missing a treat. Come during one of its many festivals and the streets come alive.
