If You Don’t Know How Much You’re Worth You Can’t Afford This

KNOW HOW MUCH YOU’RE WORTH BECAUSE THIS IS AN INVESTMENT IN YOURSELF

When women come to us and enquire about a boudoir style photoshoot experience we can learn a lot from the very first question they ask.

Women generally spend a lot of time thinking about what they want from an experience like this.

Like buying a wedding dress or choosing a hotel for the holiday, they will research everything they can.

Most women who are considering a boudoir style photoshoot will have some anxiety about the idea of taking most of their clothes off in front of a total stranger. This anxiety is perfectly normal.

We expect our clients to have done their research by the time they come to us and decided that they love what they see on the website, maybe have read some of the many articles on our blog and read many of the reviews from past clients on facebook.

The first question they ask is quite telling. (We’ve been doing this for 20 years and have answered a lot of ‘first questions’ )

How will I know how to pose?

What clothes do I bring?

How can you make me look as good as the women on your website?

How will it change the way I see myself?

Do I need to lose weight first? (Absolutely NOT!)

These are all legitimate first questions and most of these women become our clients and go away with amazing pictures to cherish forever.

However, the most difficult first question to answer is, “How much do you charge?”

These women very rarely become our clients.

The reason is simply that these women have no real idea just how much they’re worth.

You see, a boudoir photo shoot is very different to going down the High Street and getting some snaps of the kids on a Saturday afternoon.

A boudoir photo shoot is an investment in yourself.

You will be choosing outfits, practicing posing in front of the mirror, worrying about being nervous on the day. You will be investing part of yourself in the whole process.

Taking your clothes off and posing in front of a stranger is not something to be done lightly. Not if you value your self-esteem and self-worth.

You wouldn’t buy a wedding dress without a lengthy fitting process or book a holiday without some idea of what you’re getting yourself into. (Unless you want to end up in a hotel still under construction and miles from the nearest beach)

If the first thing you worry about is money then the last thing you should consider is a Boudoir Style Photoshoot because after 20 years of doing this, we know that whatever you pay will seem expensive, if the results make you feel worse about yourself.

Shopping for a boudoir photoshoot based on cost is a recipe for disaster and extremely unlikely to make you feel more confident, empowered and good about yourself. After all, these are the main reasons for booking this experience in the first place.

Consider everything in life to have an ‘investment’ and a ‘cost’.

Holidays have a cost that diminishes in value over time. The initial cost may be high and seem good value at the time. Then, two weeks later the tan starts to fade, you go back to work and the daily grind and the holiday will soon look like a bad ‘investment’ as the memory of that holiday decreases and you begin to look for the next holiday.

Cars have a very high cost and are relatively bad investments since all they do is lose money and decrease in value.

A boudoir photoshoot, however, can have a huge investment value because, unlike a holiday, they don’t lose value immediately after you have them. In fact, our clients tell us time and time again how much their pictures empower them for years after. The increased confidence these women get from a good boudoir photoshoot is difficult to put a price on.

A boudoir photo shoot is an investment not so much a “cost”  – Unless ‘cost’ is your only concern and none of the benefits matter to you.

This is why our clients save up to have this experience and come out of it all the better for it.

Then, years later, they still have the pictures from their photoshoot to make them feel good about themselves all over again.

These women know how much they’re worth. They invest in themselves because they’re worth it.
