Here, for example, is a super sexy boudoir style shoot at the Great Victoria Hotel in Bradford in one of the most luxurious and sexy penthouse suites in Yorkshire. We’ve photographed in this Penthouse many many times and it’s still one of our favourite locations. Twin baths at the end of the bed, a stunning walk in wet-room and gorgeous furnishings with lavish curtains. Just about everything in this stylish and contemporary suite is perfect for a boudoir photoshoot.

This shoot was all about dresses and Glam hair and Makeup for most of the most part. We always wait until our clients are completely comfortable before we do some lingerie shots and some clients are happy in just dresses. That’s the thing about our photoshoots, it’s entirely up to you and your personal comfort levels. THE ART OF SELF LOVE – EASY FOR US TO SAY

Honestly, it’s a day to day struggle.

Looking at the mirror and seeing something nice is a challenge. Most days I look in the mirror and see someone I don’t recognise at all. (Or rather, I see someone I recognise only too well – My mother )

Ageing is a horrid process.

What it does to your body is frankly, criminal.

Even though my work is about finding the beauty in other women, I still struggle to do the same for myself.

Dave tells me I’m beautiful 20 times a day and I just laugh, nervously.

Behind a confident exterior is the same negativity, just like everyone else.

WHY DO WE FIND IT SO HARD TO LOVE OURSELVES?

Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and felt absolutely worthless?

No?

Then trust us when we say, you are one of the lucky ones. You know your worth. That’s rare.

Many people feel worthless at some time in their life.

During a difficult period in a relationship or a divorce. When something goes wrong at work or maybe the last few months of homeschooling the kids hasn’t gone as smoothly as hoped.

Feelings of worthlessness can come at any time in your life, but if you are suddenly feeling like you can’t do anything right, or that you aren’t worthy of the things you have in your life – you might start to wonder what has happened to your self-confidence.

When we asked Helen why she wanted to do a Fabulous at 50 photoshoot like this she told us

I expected myself to be reserved and shy, but found myself not caring about anything and anybody around me as I threw layers of clothing off without embarrassment.
