A Leeds Boudoir Photoshoot - Red Is The Colour
Sue came to us and immediately we knew that this was going to be an exciting shoot.
With that amazing red hair and red dress, how could this not be exciting?
We always love photographing clients with a unique style and Sue was one of those clients.
Not only did we love her red dress but also her corset and black suit was a wow. Super stylish.
So, if you need inspiration for a Madison Bou Experience, What would we recommend on a Boudoir shoot?
Most importantly, wear what you’re comfortable in.
Sure you can push your boundaries, that’s part of the excitement of a shoot like this, but don’t push yourself too far.
No matter what your body shape we can always suggest something that will be glamorous and flattering for you. A Madison Bou Boudoir photoshoot is not about wearing lingerie, it’s about looking and feeling glamorous. If you’d prefer not to wear lingerie, consider glam dresses and bling, pearls, hats. You’ll feel super sexy with fabulous hair and make-up and your favourite dresses and heels.
If you do decide to wear underwear for the shoot, this is what we would recommend based on many years experience photographing hundreds of women …
In general, avoid bra and knicker sets unless you’re super slim or super confident. These are often the least flattering items of lingerie. If you do decide on bra and knicker sets then consider adding suspenders and stockings or a waspie.
Try not to worry about scars and wobbly bits, particularly around the tummy area because we will always hide or retouch your images to perfection so you’ll never see anything you don’t want to.
It’s really important to try on your chosen lingerie before coming to the shoot and make sure everything fits perfectly.
The big winners on a boudoir photoshoot are corsets and basques. Babydolls are good, whatever your body shape and so are bodys or bodystockings. (Some great bodys at an affordable price are available from Ann Summers )
A chemise offers great coverage for confidence and we’ll often start with something like this to ease you in gently.
Always bring stockings and suspenders if you can to your shoot and if you hate the way your legs look then try tights with seams. (yes, we can even make tights look sexy…. g-strings or nothing underneath for best effect though)
Don’t forget accessories…. Feather boas, hats, anything lacy or see through. Jewellery for bling. Bigger the better. Subtlety is not a friend of boudoir. – Big hoops, pearls, collars, masks, birdcages… All look great.
Obviously bring some heels, they’ll lengthen your legs, make them look sexy and elegant and you’ll feel great as well.
Please don’t get stressed about your outfits though. Whatever you bring, we’ll make you look amazing on the day.
