WHEN TO GIFT YOUR BRIDAL BOUDOIR PHOTOS TO YOUR FIANCE

Bridal boudoir photos make the perfect gift to give the groom. It’s personal and totally unique. (Unlike a watch or something else which is mass-produced and purchased without much effort)

Bridal Boudoir has been a growing trend over the past few years.  Nearly all my brides ask the same question: WHEN should I give these photos to my groom?

The element of surprise is often the great thing about a gift like this. Will he expect you to have put in so much thought into his gift?

Will he have put in as much thought in his gift to you? (Wow, this could get you so much kudos )

here are some perfect times to give your fiancé, your bridal boudoir photos :

THE NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING

The day of the wedding itself can often be a little intense with family and friends watching your every move. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to find a private moment. For this reason, the night before might be the best way to keep things extra private and to make your groom that much more excited for the big day.

Another reason to give your bridal boudoir photos the night before is that you won’t have to worry about losing them or damaging the book by taking them to the wedding itself.

THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING DAY

Have it delivered to your groom while he’s getting ready. The look on his face will be priceless. (If we’re photographing the wedding day as well as the boudoir session, we always make sure to find a private area and photograph the groom’s expression as he opens up his gift. These photos of excited surprise often make it to the wedding album itself.) The boudoir book needs to be looked after for many years and the last thing you want is something happening in all the excitement that will damage it so we offer a unique smart app which is a super cool way of sending the bridal boudoir photos to your groom’s phone. He’ll get a text and open it for the wow!

THE WEDDING NIGHT ITSELF

Give them on the wedding night.

You could even drop a hint mid-wedding day to keep them guessing. This will keep everything safe until after the day has ended and of course, you can then both enjoy the experience of looking at the photos together.

WAIT TILL THE HONEYMOON

If you’re the patient type, you could try waiting until the honeymoon. You’ll be completely relaxed and totally alone together. (Again, maybe think of leaving the book in a safe place at home and take the ‘smart app’ with you to show. )

If you don’t get it sorted in time for the wedding. How about creating a special gift for your first anniversary?

This is your ‘paper’ anniversary, so what better than a beautiful book of your boudoir photos?

Don’t forget that it normally takes 6-8 weeks to turn an album around.

The shoot itself, then a week later, the viewing and choosing of your favourite pictures and then the design and layout of the book, the approval, the printing in Europe. All this takes time so make sure to book your bridal boudoir photoshoot as early as you can .

Also, don’t worry about taking extra time to ‘lose a few pounds’ first.  Honestly, the camera doesn’t add ten pounds, the photographer does. A good photographer will light you exquisitely, pose you perfectly and make your curves look super sexy.

Whenever you decide to gift your boudoir photos, remember a beautiful hand made book with stunning printing will last 100 years.

Something you’ll enjoy together throughout your married life together.
