We know that for many people, posing in front of a camera is a daunting experience.

It’s taken us years to learn the art of relaxing clients in front of our camera. It’s a combination of great direction, calm temperament and good conversation. (Dave spent 2 decades working as a Radio DJ and learned the art of conversation during that time. I worked as a dancer for 20 years and know the art of dramatic posing and great poise. These skills work to our advantage when we work together to make you feel confident and camera ready. )

We started photographing couples as we began the business photographing brides and grooms for weddings. We would always schedule an engagement shoot first with the couples in less formal outfits and less formal venues so they get used to the experience of being photographed. It was essential because it also gave us the opportunity to get to know one another and the closer we became, the better and more natural the pictures.This led us to create more fashion styled couple photography for our discerning couples. These couples were drawn to our work because it reminded them of the fashion style magazines they would read.

Of course, you don’t need to be getting married to enjoy a couples photoshoot. It’s a perfect excuse to spend some time together and create a document of your life story together.

How often have you had amazing experiences with your partner, but with no evidence to show for it? - That’s what this experience is for.

Our photography sessions are a great excuse to really have fun together. The resulting pictures will show you exactly as you are together. Totally in love and having fun. Oh, and super glamorous to boot!

No pressure, we take care of everything. Location, we advise on outfits if you need it, we’ll stylise and help with posing and make you look like being photographed is the most natural thing in the world.

We also go to great lengths to ensure you not only feel comfortable in front of the camera but feel comfortable enough to look relaxed with each other. We’ve all seen those dreadful pictures of couples standing, stiff as boards, holding hands, with cheesy grins because that’s what we always do when faced with a camera for the first time.

We call that the ‘camera face’ and we all have it. It takes time to work with you to relax you both enough to the point where you become completely unaware of the camera completely.

At that point, you will look totally at ease and in love with one another. That’s what we do. Create pictures of you looking in in love and pictures you’ll be proud to show off to all your friends and family.

We’re aware that sometimes it can be hard to feel “romantic” in public, especially with a camera pointed at your face. Encourage yourself and your spouse to really get into it, though, and the results will be extra-ordinary.

Enjoy the fun of acting like you’re newly engaged and can’t keep those hands to yourself. Pretty soon, it won’t be like acting at all and it will feel, and look, totally real!
