It's rise in popularity in recent years is revolutionising the way we perceive beauty and self-confidence. It empowers women to embrace their unique beauty and encourages greater self - acceptance and confidence in their own skin. Women are able to use this safe place to freely express themselves without judgment, fostering a sense of comfort and acceptance.

Why Boudoir Photography is for Women of All Shapes, Sizes and Ages.

A Madison Bou Boudoir Photoshoot is a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable boutique experience.

Each shoot day is dedicated to only one client, so you will receive the ultimate boudoir/glamour photo session that is unique to you and you’ll never see another client waiting in the wings for their turn. We don’t do set poses and routines because everybody is different with different styles and wants and needs. Just like we don’t dish out generic Christmas presents to all our family and friends, we put thought into what they actually would like, the same is true of our boudoir shoots. We have conversations with each client prior to the shoot to determine what kind of style they’re drawn to and what kind of setting they would prefer. We try and find out how each client would like to display their final pictures so we shoot with the end result in mind. We would approach a photoshoot for a dramatic piece of wall art quite differently to a book of pictures with multiple outfits and storylines for example.

All our photoshoots include hair and make-up as standard (though, there’s nothing ‘standard’ about our shoots) and we don’t place restrictions on what clients can bring to the shoot to wear. We also don’t clock watch so we allow plenty of time to get the shots we need. After 20 years of photographing the art of boudoir we know that some people don’t warm to the camera as quickly as others and so some people need a little more direction. Everyone gets there in the end it’s just the process of directing the shoot which is different for every individual. Some clients bring way too much stuff since they can’t decide and end up bringing everything in the wardrobe and others bring barely a dressing gown and a pair of knickers and we promise to create amazing pictures no matter what.

BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY - A CELEBRATION OF BEING A WOMAN

Sometimes we come across people who just don’t get what we do.

It can seem strange to some that there is this whole genre of photography which specialises in photographing women (primarily) wearing little to no clothing and they often seem surprised that we don’t just do family pictures or baby pictures or weddings (As if these are the only types of ‘respectable’ portraiture )

Yet, in the general world of art, the human form has been a subject of fascination for centuries.

Nude art paintings have always been a topic of great interest for art lovers and critics alike. Undoubtedly, many of these paintings left quite a mark on the cultural norms of the art world and left audiences gasping for more.

Naturally, visual art and its mediums have changed over the years, and even though today there are many more different ways in addition to the age-old charm of free-hand painting, the celebration of the feminine form has remained constant…

Why Every Woman Deserves a Boudoir Experience for Self-Discovery

Embrace Body Positivity with a Boudoir Photoshoot

A New Perspective

When life becomes about Rugby practice, birthday parties, and school schedules, you can sometimes lose a little bit of yourself.

Actually for some of our Mums, it feels like they lose themselves completely after a few years of putting the kids first in everything. Even our clients who don’t have children tell us that they still lose themselves to the daily grind of life at work, with busy schedules and meetings and the overall sea of things to do everyday. Life seems to get more complicated as we grow up and take on more and more responsibility. One way our clients are taking back their life is by seeing themselves from a new perspective.

By doing something outside their comfort zone and seeing themselves in a confident, positive way.
