What To Wear For A Boudoir Photoshoot - The Top Ten Essentials
Actually, not so much essentials as suggestions because we always say that even if you come with nothing to wear, we will still make you look amazing with a simple shirt, or some bedsheets, jeans and T’s that you arrive in or even some cling film!! (See below)

WHAT TO WEAR FOR BOUDOIR
Try to include in your case - a sexy dress. The kind of thing you’d wear on date night. This will allow you to become relaxed in front of the camera and during this time we can work on getting rid of your ‘scared face’ (Everybody has a ‘camera face’ - like a ‘trapped in the headlights kind of smiley stare. We spend a lot of time sorting that out. Also, because of the hundreds of selfies we’ve taken of ourselves over the years, so many of us have developed an odd looking pout, where we suck in our cheeks and purse our lips. Trust us when we say, this not a good look! )
2. Something from his Wardrobe – The button-up shirt he wore for your first date or his favourite sports top for example to add a personalised touch to your shoot.
If it’s ‘for him’ bring his favourite sports accessories…
3. Robe/ Dressing Gown /PJs or Sleepwear – This is a versatile piece that can give you multiple different looks. Wear it over lingerie, slung low around your elbows or open it up for a peek of what’s underneath. Not to mention it’s nice to wear while you’re in hair & makeup and not in front of the camera!
some beautiful ‘sleepwear is a great option
4. Garter belt/ Suspenders and Stockings - Super sexy outfit of choice for any Boudoir aficionado.
If you have it, bring something dramatic to your Boudoir Photoshoot
5. Thigh Highs / Hold Ups – Another super sexy item that most women don’t wear often. What better time than for your boudoir shoot?! lace at the top or a seam down the back - Preferably silk for a more vintage feel.
6.Bridal accessories – veil, garter, bouquet These are nice additions to incorporate if you are planning your shoot as a gift for your groom on the wedding day.
7. Heels –These are a must-have for your shoot. Even if you never wear heels, buy the tallest pair you can find (black usually goes with everything). They give you super long legs and shape to your calves and thighs. If you’re not a traditional heels kinda gal, then punk them up a little with straps or boot styles.
not a fan of traditional stilettos? Then try something more your style
An alternative to high heels are boots or sandals.
8. Push up bra – Often, we will pose you laying on your back, and although it is a super flattering pose, you can look a little ‘deflated’ in that position. Pick up a Bombshell Bra from Victoria’s Secret for example and you’ll find it will add 2 cup sizes and just the right amount of perkiness!
9. Anything Lacey or See Through - Like Fish Nets or see through Bodies.
10. Crop Tops, Denim, Hats - Anything you feel good wearing. Some women really don’t like lingerie at all and ‘traditional’ isn’te really their thing so we would suggest that we funk it up a little with something a little more… You. Anything Goes. Better to bring it than to regret having left it at home.
BONUS - 11. An item you don’t normally wear. We started this article with an outfit made purely of cling film and let’s finish with something you may have but never get to wear. Maybe an item purchased for some Pole Dance classes, a sexy costume (Not cheap looking. Seriously, no fake Nurse outfits please, unless they’re authentic). How about an incredible Fur coat or Flamenco Dress? 10 Gallon hats and Stetsons? This is your chance to think outside the box and really go town with your wildest fantasy. You may never get another opportunity like this.
