Boudoir And The Bathtub

We often get requests to create fabulous images in baths and showers. Over the last 5 years we have been based at Hazlewood Castle and a frustration has been that we’ve tried to photograph our clients with as minimal a footprint on the Hotel as possible. After all, we had to consider the Hotel guests and often we would use rooms just before check in.

Under those circumstances, using a Bath or Shower had to be planned well in advance so housekeeping could clean the room.

We decided last year to become more flexible regarding our shoot space and now work with our clients in multiple Hotels and Venues and even in clients’ houses if requested. Now if a client wants a Brass Standalone Bath set then we sort the venue for her.

If she wants a waterfall shower in a walk in wet room, then we can sort that too.

It’s all about creating exactly the kind of pictures our clients want.

Now we have so much more flexibility as to what we can do, it’s reopened a world of creativity for us.

If you think you’d like some pictures with a bath or shower (or even a Waterfall, The Sea, or a Swimming Pool) then we can arrange it for you.

Those Louboutins …

Wet Or Dry?

Would you like to use the bath just as a setting but not actually fill it with water? Or do you want to fill it with water and get photos of you soaking in the tub?

Both look good and we would recommend a mixture of both if you’re unsure. Certainly, a wet photoshoot is a little more unusual and you’ll end up with more unique pictures but you’ll also have so much fun.

We always want to make sure you feel comfortable, confident, and empowered so we make sure we spend plenty f time getting the details right and making sure you look comfortable.

Don’t get too worried about being completely naked in the bath either. While some clients want to go for it completely nude, others prefer to wear swimsuits, T-shirts or completely clothed. How about a Ball Gown, soaking wet, in the bath for a really different look? Anything is possible and anything can be made to look spectacular.

The boudoir experience is the fine dining experience of photography.

You may pay a little more, but the entire experience is something you’ll remember for the rest of your life.

Clothes or No Clothes

Do you want to wear clothing (such as a T-Shirt, Flowing Dress, Lingerie ) in the bath or do you want to be bold and be nude? It’s entirely your choice.

If you do want to wear clothes remember that any clothing becomes more transparent when wet.

T-shirts, Lacey Underwear, Dresses can all get super transparent and super clingy but the effect can be even sexier than fully nude.

Flowers

Do want to fill the bath with flowers or flower petals?

Bring your preference of fresh flowers with you. Don’t bring fake or dry flowers - They really don’t work for these bath shoots.

Bring a couple dozen roses and we can break them up into the bath and make sure everything looks just so.

Milk Bath

A lot of clients love the idea of creating a milk bath effect and this can be done with powder which can be mixed to the correct temperature. Mix the milk with petals for an extra effect. Add some real cream which looks great on bare skin.

Bubbles

Bubble Baths are always fun and great for covering bits of the body.

Shower

Showers always look great in photos. Sometimes we’ll shoot through glass and create some water droplets using a mixture of oil and water which creates perfect droplets on the glass. Wet T-shirts can look incredible in these shower shoots as well.
