THE ART OF BOUDOIR POSING

This article serves as an introduction to Boudoir Posing and demonstrates that it only takes a little movement to change the look of a picture a lot. Add variations in lighting, accessories and change the camera angles for even more variations. As well as posing, we consider mood and facial expression with every client. We use props such as chairs settees and curtains, for example as well as a wide variety of outfits and we do all this to ensure that every client gets a wider variety of photo options which they will treasure for the rest of their lives.

Here's an example of a wild and wacky photoshoot with crazy makeup which from time to time we love to do. Really push the boat out and experiment.

No one starts out their marriage with expectations of getting divorced but the unfortunate fact is that according to recent divorce statistics, 42% of marriages in the UK end in divorce.

The latest statistics show that 108,421 couples divorced in 2019!

When a woman has got to the point of signing the divorce papers, she has had plenty of time to come to terms with the decision after much heartache and deliberation. The pain of divorce may well linger for many years but for many women, much of the worst is over. For those in a positive mindset, they can even start looking toward a brighter future. Bridal Boudoir has been a growing trend over the past few years. Nearly all my brides ask the same question: WHEN should I give these photos to my groom?

We often hide behind our clothes. We expect what we wear to say something about who we are. Flamboyant and colourful, sophisticated and understated, traditional, goth, elegant, fashionista…. Sometimes our clothing speaks louder than our personality.

Yet when you wear no clothes, you cant hide behind a facade. These pictures are entirely about you and you alone. Your body language is all you have. Your eyes will speak volumes. You can really own these pictures for you and you alone. There’s nowhere to hide. It can seem a very vulnerable place to be, naked in front of the camera, yet, it can also be the most empowering thing you’ll ever do.

The idea of Modest Boudoir may seem to be a contradiction. You see women posing in revealing lingerie or nude and think, I could never do that! Here’s the thing – YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO THAT IF YOU DON’T WANT TO!

A Madison Bou Boudoir Photoshoot isn’t about lingerie or how much you dare to bare, it’s about what makes you feel beautiful and sexy. We want you to feel empowered and we believe you should always wear what you are comfortable in. That said, it’s often more empowering when you push your boundaries a little, so we certainly encourage you to push yourself with an experience like this, but everyone’s comfort level is different.

Some women are completely comfortable getting naked in public whereas others wouldn’t dare to bare even to their husband.

Most people expect their photoshoot makeover experience to be entirely set inside a studio. Most High Street studios work this way.

When we moved to Hazlewood Castle earlier this year it was always our intention to create a greater, more rewarding experience for every client. We wanted more variety, more fun, more of a genuine experience for each and every client. So, when you come to us for some beautiful and glamorous pictures, of course we’ll use the studio. We’ll also use some of the amazing rooms and suites within the castle itself and, since the outdoor location is so spectacular, we’ll go outside too.
