We get comments like this all the time.

The funny thing is that all the pictures on our website are clients who have given their permission for us to post their pictures AND the vast majority of our clients are plus size.

Remember, almost every woman is unhappy with their body in some way. Every woman wants something different… Ask a woman with large breasts, and they will tell you they are “too big”. Ask a woman with no boobs, and she will tell you she wants to be bigger. The same goes for the bum and even more for the tummy. What woman doesn’t have an issue with her tummy?

Actually, the women with the biggest hang-ups about their bodies are those size 6 girls.

The girls who look like what society has traditionally deemed as ‘models’ . Honestly, in our overall experience, the ‘model types’ are the most insecure about their looks.

Curves are what attract, and it is so much easier to show them in women who actually have them, than in those who don’t.

Honestly, you don’t need much for a Madison Bou Experience but if you come with loads of attitude then that’s what really counts.

sure, you can bring your entire wardrobe, designer labels, a dozen pairs of red bottomed heels but what we really focus on is who you really are. The inner beauty is what we want to capture. We live by our motto which is that ‘everyone is beautiful’ and we also believe it’s not what you wear that counts.

This is why it was so much fun working with Judith. Look at her pictures and you can really get a sense of who she is. Stretchy jumpers, a man’s white shirt, some lovely one piece lingerie items and …. The perfect photoshoot.

Judith told us that she’d been through so much hardship in the couple of years leading up to this that the Madison Bou experience was an opportunity to really make a change and have some ‘me’ time. An opportunity to say “I’m doing this entirely for myself because I’m worth it”

Sure, Marilyn Monroe was sexy and she was often wearing very little indeed but who wouldn’t agree that Audrey Hepburn was one of the sexiest women on the planet and she kept all her clothes on at all times.

So, Boudoir isn’t about what you wear or don’t wear but it’s about how you wear it.

We tell all our clients that a Boudoir Photoshoot is like therapy… Like a personal love letter to yourself.

We’ve all looked in the mirror and seen ravaging effects of ageing or bad diet and excercise and felt unhappy with the way we look in some way. We always spend plenty of time with our clients before the day of the experience to discuss outfits and styles and often we take the view that tights don’t work on glam shoots. Everyone has their own style though and sometimes someone comes along who can break all the rules and look amazing. Tights can look super sexy as they do with Andrea here who is so rocking the tight look.

All of our photoshoot experiences include professional hair and makeup and there’s a good reason for this…

We want you to look your best for your pictures and you’ll never look better than when you’ve had professional hair and make-up. It’s a great way to start the shoot experience in a relaxed way as well which will also lead to a better end result.

I’ve just seen a post on Facebook that said “ Why Does it cost £600 to buy one photo?”

The question was loaded with sarcasm from a woman who may well have had a poor experience from another studio. (I checked, it wasn’t us)

However, the question got me thinking. How do you put a price on something? Is a picture worth 60p, £6 or £600? More importantly, how much is that picture worth to you?

Clearly if that picture was completely unique and made by a craftsman, such as the Mona Lisa, then it’s value is worth substantially more than £600 (Actually, it’s around £800 Million)

If the picture is from your iPhone and printed at your local Boots, then it’s probably worth 60p.

So, what makes a picture worth more, or less? …

A Fabulously Sexy Boudoir Photoshoot in a Wonderful Woodland Location

Perfect for any woman who wants to get back to Nature and create something truly memorable

This Summer we are proud to offer this exciting WOODLAND BOUDOIR EXPERIENCES in our secluded enclave on the outskirts of Leeds.

Part of the new woodland area within the grounds of Hazlewood Castle, we have a room suitable for our traditional Boudoir styles with a stunning view into a secluded woodland area, perfect for those who want to create something reflecting nature, outdoors.

The experience lasts till dusk (for the best light) and includes hair and make-up (As all of our Boudoir Experiences) and full styling throughout.

Many of our Boudoir styled photoshoots take place in elegant surroundings with lavish backgrounds and furnishings but then again, many of our photoshoots contain simplicity as the key. Often these are the most successful. Just you and a few items of clothing as accessories and simple elegant furniture. (In this case, a classic Chesterfield chair)

So much can be done with 2 or three outfits, a couple of accessories, a hat, a statement necklace and a killer pair of heels. Oh, and some paper roses and black chiffon. Simple things, beautiful posing, great light and this all leads to the perfect modern glamour photoshoot.

Modern Glamour is the New Boudoir – More a state of mind than a state of undress.

All our photoshoot experiences start with a consultation. Either in person, on the phone or via email questionnaires.

We ask about the ‘level’ of the experience you’d like. Fashion (all clothes), a bit of Boudoir, a bit of both, topless or caution to the wind naked. More often than not, women find the experience so uplifting and empowering that they end up going up a level.

We all have a ‘comfort level.’

That place we feel safe day to day.

This includes, what we eat, how we dress, where we go on holiday and yet sometimes, when we step out of this comfort zone and discover new things, we also learn something about ourselves.
