Actually, not so much essentials as suggestions because we always say that even if you come with nothing to wear, we will still make you look amazing with a simple shirt, or some bedsheets, jeans and T’s but is you’re looking for some boudoir inspiration, here are ten items you should always pack in your bag for a Boudoir Photoshoot.

Boudoir can be intimidating, especially if you feel larger than women you see being photographed. Almost everyone in magazines is stick thin and so many of our clients tell us they want to ‘lose a few pounds’ before they book a boudoir style photoshoot. One of the best ways to appreciate all the images from your session is when you look through a beautiful boudoir book , laid out with your favourite images. We carefully storyboard the book with themed open spreads. Every image is designed to compliment the next.

We’ve photographed in this Penthouse many many times and it’s still one of our favourite locations.

Here’s Kayty’s fabulous book layout showing you one of our glamorous photoshoots. It came with a super cool Acrylic over and she’ll treasure this for the rest of her life.

It was so much fun on the shoot with Kayty wearing a selection of her favourite dresses. We chose to really spread out throughout the castle for this shoot to ensure we got as many looks as possible. The Great Hall with it’s ornate statues, The Flemish Hall with dramatic looking Belgium marble floor tiles, Lavender Suite with it’s dramatic red walled backdrop, and beautiful lounge area. We even got to photograph Kayty outside as well.

The shoot was broadcast live on Facebook and the lovely thing about this was that Kayty’s mum could log on and watch from the comfort of her home. So much fun.

When we asked Helen why she wanted to do a Fabulous at 50 photoshoot like this she told us

“I’m going to be 50 in a few months and not looking forward to it. Would like this to make me feel gorgeous and boost my confidence.”

Well, I know she’s thankful she did have some professional photos. Not only to hand down to the family but also because of the boost in self confidence an experience like this brings to so many of our clients.

Helen was such a joy to work with on the day. She arrived with perfect outfits for the shoot and really gave her all to the photoshoot. She was easy to direct and that smile radiated and lit up the room.

This is what we mean by Modern Glamour – super glam images of you in fabulous dresses in a great surrounding. If you’re brave you can do a little lingerie but in truth, our glamour is less about what you wear and all about you.
