This shoot was all about dresses and Glam hair and Makeup for most of the most part. We always wait until our clients are completely comfortable before we do some lingerie shots and some clients are happy in just dresses. That’s the thing about our photoshoots, it’s entirely up to you and your personal comfort levels. With few exceptions, bodysuits make bodies look fabulous every time.

I know you often feel like you need to wear a two piece set of Bra and Knickers, but trust us when we say, unless you really are super confident, bra and knickers often look far less flattering than bodies.

Particularly if you think you have an issue with ‘mummy tummy’ then a body is perfect for coverage. It’s much like a swim suit, yet way more sexy. Bodies come in so many styles, you’ll be able to find the perfect one for you.

Perhaps you wear a traditional 2 piece everyday and never think to wear a body suit. Try one on in front of the mirror and watch how it flatters your shape.

You can adapt your outfit by adding jeans or skirts to your bodysuit and then you can even go outside.

THE ART OF SELF LOVE – EASY FOR US TO SAY

Honestly, it’s a day to day struggle.

Looking at the mirror and seeing something nice is a challenge. Most days I look in the mirror and see someone I don’t recognise at all. (Or rather, I see someone I recognise only too well – My mother )

Ageing is a horrid process.

What it does to your body is frankly, criminal.

Even though my work is about finding the beauty in other women, I still struggle to do the same for myself.

Dave tells me I’m beautiful 20 times a day and I just laugh, nervously.

Behind a confident exterior is the same negativity, just like everyone else.

WHY DO WE FIND IT SO HARD TO LOVE OURSELVES?

Many people feel worthless at some time in their life.

During a difficult period in a relationship or a divorce. When something goes wrong at work or maybe the last few months of homeschooling the kids hasn’t gone as smoothly as hoped.

Feelings of worthlessness can come at any time in your life, but if you are suddenly feeling like you can’t do anything right, or that you aren’t worthy of the things you have in your life – you might start to wonder what has happened to your self-confidence.

We often get requests to create fabulous images in baths and showers. Over the last 5 years we have been based at Hazlewood Castle and a frustration has been that we’ve tried to photograph our clients with as minimal a footprint on the Hotel as possible. After all, we had to consider the Hotel guests and often we would use rooms just before check in.

Under those circumstances, using a Bath or Shower had to be planned well in advance so housekeeping could clean the room.

We decided at Christmas to become more flexible regarding our shoot space and now work with our clients in multiple Hotels and Venues and even in clients’ houses if requested. Now if a client wants a Brass Standalone Bath set then we sort the venue for her.

If she wants a waterfall shower in a walk in wet room, then we can sort that too.

It’s all about creating exactly the kind of pictures our clients want.

Now we have so much more flexibility as to what we can do, it’s reopened a world of creativity for us.
